The Durga Puja pandals in West Bengal will be no-entry zone for visitors and only organizers will be allowed inside the pandals amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Calcutta High Court ordered on Monday.
The names of people allowed to enter the pandals will be displayed outside it, the Court said.
The court in its order stated that only 25 people should be allowed inside the pandals.
According to the reports, about 34,000 Durga Puja pandals have been constructed around the state and this direction will apply to all.
So far, COVID-19 cases in West Bengal stands at 3,21,036 while 6,056 people have lost their lives.
