Two terrorists were killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “#ShopianEncounterUpdate: 01 more unidentified #terrorist killed (total 02). Search going on. Further details shall follow.”
Earlier, Kashmir Zone Police said, “01 unidentified #terrorist killed. #Operation going on. Further details shall follow.”
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Melhora area on Monday following inputs about the presence of terrorists there.
The search operation turned into an encounter after terrorists fired upon security forces, who retaliated.
