Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday rejected the resignation submitted by senior AAP leader Ashutosh, asking how they could accept it.
“How can we ever accept ur resignation?,” Kejriwal said in a tweet, adding, “No, not in this birth” in Hindi.
Delhi Chief Minister response comes just a few hours after Ashutosh declared the end of journey with AAP on twitter. He wrote, “Every journey has an end. My association with AAP which was beautiful/revolutionary has also an end. I have resigned from the PARTY/requested PAC to accept the same. It is purely from a very very personal reason. Thanks to party/all of them who supported me Throughout. Thanks.”
The 53-year-old joined AAP in 2014.
