An Indian army helicopter crashed near Ranjit Sagar Dam in Pathankot on Tuesday morning. Both pilots of the army helicopter that crashed are safe.
“Both the pilots are safe. The weapon system integrated helicopter had taken off from Pathankot and met with an accident during a routine sortie”, defence sources said.
The dam is located about 30 km from Pathankot in Punjab.
The police and NDRF are currently carrying out the rescue operation. An army team has also rushed to the spot to find out the damage.
