The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested two assistants of former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh in money laundering case of ₹ 100 crores on Friday night.
Anil Deshmukh’s personal secretary Sanjeev Palande and personal assistant Kundan Shinde have been under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
According to the letter of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, Sanjeev Palande is the person who was negotiating between Sachin Waje and Anil Deshmukh in the recovery case of 100 crores.
Kundan Shinde’s name was also included in this letter and he was also said to be involved in this recovery.
According to the officials two of them were not cooperating during the questioning that was being held at the central probe agency’s office in Ballard Estate in Mumbai.
Earlier, the ED questioned Sachin Vaze, a former Mumbai Police officer involved in the case.
