Air India plane hits building at Stockholm airport

An Air India aircraft, carrying 179 passengers, hit a building at Stockholm’s Arlanda airport with its wingtip as it taxied to gate on Wednesday. However, no injuries were reported, police said.

According to the statement by the police, all 179 passengers could disembark from the plane on a mobile staircase and subsequently enter the terminal.

The cause of the accident was not immediately known, police said. The incident occurred about 50 meters from Terminal 5, the main terminal for international flights.

Several police cars and fire trucks were rushed to the spot.

According to the reports, the flight was originated from New Delhi.
