Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan passed away on Wednesday at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. He was hospitalized on Tuesday due to deteriorating health. He was 53 years old.
According to the information, he was admitted to the ICU yesterday. Irrfan in 2018 had announced that he’d been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour and had undergone treatment abroad for several months in 2019.
Shoojit Sircar tweeted information about Irrfan’s demise, he said, “My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. I will always be proud of you.. we shall meet again.. condolences to Sutapa and Babil.. you too fought, Sutapa you gave everything possible in this fight. Peace and Om shanti. Irfaan Khan salute.”
Irrfan was known as the perfect actor. The whole film industry is in a deep shock after the news break out. Many politicians and celebrities around the world expressed condolences on the demise of Irrfan.
Actor Amitabh Bachchan in a tweet said, “just getting news of the passing of Irfaan Khan .. this is a most disturbing and sad news .. An incredible talent .. a gracious colleague .. a prolific contributor to the World of Cinema .. left us too soon .. creating a huge vacuum .. Prayers and duas.”
Actor Akshay kumar tweeted, “Such terrible news…saddened to hear about the demise of #IrrfanKhan, one of the finest actors of our time. May God give strength to his family in this difficult time.”
