3 injured in gas tank explosion at HPCL Plant in Unnao

An explosion in a gas tank at the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) plant in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao led to a major fire in the area on Thursday, leaving three people injured.

According to the reports, the explosion was caused by a leak in a valve.

Soon after the incident, fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames. Additional forces were also deployed.

The injured were rushed to the hospital here for further treatment.

As per the sources, several villages located near the plant have been evacuated and all roads leading to the site have also been made out of bounds for the public.
