150 crore for the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhi – Sudhir Mungantiwar

Mumbai: “Fund of Rs150 crore for the implementation of various policies and programs which will be organized to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi  will be made available in the coming session of the Legislative Assembly” informed Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar .

He was speaking at a state level meeting held at Sahyadri Guest House on Thursday. On this occasion, various programs will be organized based on Mahatma Gandhi’s work and ideology. Village Development Committee has been set up under the Chairmanship of Finance Minister for the purpose of designing the program. Village development was the basis of Mahatma Gandhi’s work. Considering this fact, the Industry Department should study the strategy for development of small, cottage and village industries for one month as independent policies for Village Industry Development will be ready till the birth anniversary. Maharashtra Government has decided to celebrate the birth anniversary by implementing new and innovative programme.
