At least 11 persons died and few are still missing after the boat they were in capsized in Bhopal’s Khatlapura Ghat during Ganesha idol immersion on early Friday morning.
Five people have been rescued so far and bodies of 11 people were recovered, officials said.
A search operation is currently underway to rescue other people, reports said.
According to the sources, the incident happened at around 4.30 on Friday morning when a boat carrying a group of people for Ganesh immersion capsized at Khatlapura Ghat.
