YSR Congress Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-designate Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Sunday and discussed several issues including the special category status for Andhra Pradesh.
Modi said in a tweet, “Had an excellent meeting with Andhra Pradesh’s CM designate @ysjagan. We had a fruitful interaction on several issues pertaining to AP’s development. Assured him all possible support from the Centre during his term.”
Reddy, whose party stormed to power on Thursday with a landslide victory in Andhra Pradesh, bagging 151 of 175 assembly seats and 22 of 25 Lok Sabha seats.
Reddy is likely to take oath as the chief minister of the state on May 30.
