Suspected militants on Wednesday shot dead a youth at Kachdoora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The gunmen opened fire on Tanveer Ahmad Dar, 24, son of Muhammad Abdullah, a resident of Bemnipora, near Jamia Masjid in Kachdoora, killing him instantly.
Police has said that the youth was killed by the militants. “Case has been registered and investigation started,” a police official said.
Before killing Dar, the militants recorded his video admitting his role in the killing of four militants which went viral.
“I worked as informer. My information led to killing of four militants. I was in contact with an (army) major. He promised to give me Rs 60 thousand but instead gave me two weed cigarettes,” Dar is heard telling the militants on video.
Soon after this, his captors killed him. The video was later circulated on social media.
