Yogi Adityanath turns 47; PM Modi, other ministers extend wishes

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday turned 47, however, he stayed away from celebrations on his birthday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several other senior BJP leaders wished Uttar Pradesh Chief Minster Adityanath on his birthday 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his Twitter account and tweeted, “Greetings to Uttar Pradesh’s dynamic Chief Minister, @myogiadityanath Ji on his birthday. Yogi Ji has done commendable work in transforming Uttar Pradesh, especially in areas like agriculture, industry as well as in improving law and order. I pray for his long and healthy life.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah wished Adityanath on his birthday and said: “I hope Uttar Pradesh will progress under your leadership and reach new heights. I pray for your long life and health.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also wished the chief minister on his birthday.

Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley also wished him on Twitter.

“Birthday greetings to Shri Yogi Adityanath ji, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. May God bless him with a long healthy life & success in all his endeavours,” Jaitley tweeted.

Adityanath was greeted by several other union Ministers through social media.

Yogi Adityanath was born as Ajay Mohan Bisht on June 5, 1972, in the village of Panchur, in Pauri Garhwal. He became the youngest member of the Lok Sabha in 1998 when he won the election from UP’s Gorakhpur.

He took over as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister in March 2017 after the BJP won the 2017 State Assembly elections. He has been the Member of Parliament from UP’s Gorakhpur constituency, for five consecutive terms since 1998.
