Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday recommended to the Governor immediate sacking of Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar from his cabinet.
Rajbhar has time and again outbursts against his NDA ally in the state.
According to the official spokesperson, Governor Ram Naik has given his consent to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s recommendation to remove Rajbhar.
Adityanath also recommended that all other SBSP members holding the rank of minister of state be removed immediately, sources said.
Rajbhar, a minister for backward class welfare and ‘divyangjan’ empowerment claimed that he had resigned from the ministry last month, but his resignation was not accepted by the Chief Minister.
Rajbhar’s sacking came about a day after exit polls predicted a huge win for the BJP in the Lok Sabha election.
