India has reported 69,239 fresh cases of coronavirus and 912 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 30,44,941, while the death toll rose to 56,706, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 22,80,567 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 7,07,668 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients stands at 74.90%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Sunday said a total of 3,52,92,220 samples have been tested up to August 22 of which 8,01,147 samples were tested yesterday.
