With highest single-day spike of 96,551 new cases, India’s COVID-19 tally rise to 45.62 lakh

India has reported 96,551 new cases of coronavirus and 1,209 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 45,62,414, while the death toll rose to 76,271, according to Health Ministry data.

Of the total cases, 35,42,663 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 9,43,480 active cases of COVID-19 in India.

The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 77.6%.

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 5.40 crore samples have been tested up to September 10 of which 11,63,542 samples were tested yesterday.
