With highest single-day spike of 95,735 new cases, India’s COVID-19 tally rise to 44.65 lakh

India has reported 95,735 new cases of coronavirus and 1,172 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 44,65,863, while the death toll rose to 75,062, according to Health Ministry data.

Of the total cases, 34,71,783 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 9,19,018 active cases of COVID-19 in India.

The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 77.7%.

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 5.29 crore samples have been tested up to September 9 of which 11,29,756 samples were tested yesterday.
