India has reported 96,424 new cases of coronavirus and 1,174 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 52,14,677, while the death toll rose to 84,372, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 41,12,551 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 10,17,754 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 78.9%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 6.15 crore samples have been tested up to September 17 of which 10,06,615 samples were tested yesterday.
