India has reported 86,961 new cases of coronavirus and 1,130 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 54,87,580, while the death toll rose to 87,882, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 43,96,399 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 10,03,299 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 80.1%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 6.43 crore samples have been tested up to September 20 of which 7,31,534 samples were tested yesterday.
