India has reported 83,347 new cases of coronavirus and 1,085 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 56,46,010, while the death toll rose to 90,020, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 45,87,613 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 9,68,377 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 81.3%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 6.62 crore samples have been tested up to September 22 of which 9,53,683 samples were tested yesterday.
