India has reported 81,484 new cases of coronavirus and 1,095 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 63,94,068, while the death toll rose to 99,773, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 53,52,078 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 9,42,217 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 83.7%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 7.67 crore samples have been tested up to October 1 of which 10,97,947 samples were tested yesterday.
