India has reported 75,829 new cases of coronavirus and 940 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 65,49,373, while the death toll rose to 1,01,782, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 55,09,966 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 9,37,625 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 84.1%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 7.89 crore samples have been tested up to October 3 of which 11,42,131 samples were tested yesterday.
