India has reported 75,809 new cases of coronavirus and 1,133 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 42,80,422, while the death toll rose to 72,775, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 33,23,950 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 8,83,697 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 77.7%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 5.06 crore samples have been tested up to September 7 of which 10,98,621 samples were tested yesterday.
