India has reported 75,083 new cases of coronavirus and 1,053 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 55,62,663, while the death toll rose to 88,935, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 44,97,867 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 9,75,861 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 80.12%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 6.53 crore samples have been tested up to September 21 of which 9,33,185 samples were tested yesterday.
