India has reported 69,921 new cases of coronavirus and 819 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 36,91,166, while the death toll rose to 65,288, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 28,39,882 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 7,85,996 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 76.94%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 4.33 crore samples have been tested up to August 31 of which 10,16,920 samples were tested yesterday.
