India has reported 66,732 new cases of coronavirus and 816 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 71,20,538, while the death toll rose to 1,09,150, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 61,49,535 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 8,61,853 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 86.36%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 8.78 crore samples have been tested up to October 11 of which 9,94,851 samples were tested yesterday.
