India has reported 63,509 new cases of coronavirus and 730 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 72,39,389, while the death toll rose to 1,10,586, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 63,01,927 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 8,26,876 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 87.05%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 9 crore samples have been tested up to October 13 of which 11,45,015 samples were tested yesterday.
