Lights… Camera… Action, the veteran star Nana Patekar is all set to debut on OTT. He is teaming up with Ace Director Prakash Jha for a political webseries named “ Lal Batti”.The shooting of the series has already started in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The Actor will be playing lawyer-cum politician and will unite with actor Sanjay Kapoor after 21 years. The most Energetic and charismatic Bollywood Actor Anil Kapoor with “Night Manager” and another talented one Shahid Kapoor with “Farzi” have already made their mark on OTT.
Beautiful and Talented Madhuri Dixit returned with “The Fame Game” and Ajay Devgan astonished everyone with his Crime Series “Rudra”- The Edge of darkness.
After the Bleak time of the pandemic, OTT emerged as a popular destination. The concept of OTT allowed its viewers to access anything, anywhere and anytime. According to a report, OTT consumption rose drastically with majority of its consumers streaming their videos at home on their favorite platforms. “No doubt OTT is a fantastic platform, and the need of good
content is also growing”. It has opened new doors for artists like us, Manoj Bajpayee recently said in an event. The Family Man Actor in a literature festival was found saying that “OTT is like a railway station where some stalls sell obscene books while some literature books, it depends on the viewers what to choose.” He also said that OTT has given him the freedom to do all genres of work that people have not experienced earlier.
Manoj Bajpayee is coming up with a new family drama series “Gulmohar” on Disney hotstar, with yesteryears versatile Actors, Sharmila Tagore and Amol Palekar.
One of the most promising leading men on OTT is Pankaj Tripathi, The Actor has already appeared in two seasons of Mirzapur and the third season is expected this year. His Criminal Justice series where he played a lawyer was also challenging. Shooting the court scenes were although difficult for me, he said in a show.
According to some Film critics, OTT has changed the perspective of audiences, herewriters are doing commendable jobs, content is the king. The young generation who are associated with some theatre societies of colleges and Universities are also hopeful, to get a chance to work on OTT soon. Some of our seniors are already working in Big production houses in Mumbai.

OTT has given its audience an option to watch the content as per his interest, says Shashank Sasha, President of Creative Art Group who has recently shot a short film for OTT. Some of the Students that are doing Film making, production and Direction courses in Delhi and Mumbai are also optimistic of getting work on OTT platforms. I have already worked on four OTT series, says Assistant Director Shiv Prakash.
