Wall of Under-Construction Building Collapses in Jaipur, Three Workers Killed

Jaipur: At least three workers were killed after a wall of an under-construction building collapsed in the Amer area of Jaipur on Sunday. Several other labourers are feared trapped under the debris, prompting a massive rescue operation by local authorities.

According to officials, the incident occurred while construction work was underway at the site. The wall suddenly collapsed, trapping several workers beneath the rubble and triggering panic among those present.

Police, fire brigade personnel, civil defence teams and district administration officials rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the accident. Rescue operations were immediately launched, with excavators and other heavy machinery being used to clear the debris and search for survivors.

Officials said the injured workers have been shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities are yet to ascertain the exact number of people trapped under the rubble, and rescue efforts are continuing.

Preliminary reports suggest that multiple labourers were working at the site when the accident took place. The district administration has ordered an inquiry into the incident to determine whether safety norms were being followed during the construction work.

The incident has once again raised concerns over safety standards at construction sites, with local authorities assuring that strict action will be taken if negligence is found during the investigation.
