Voting for the third phase of Bihar assembly elections was held on Saturday.
Voting was held at 78 assembly seats spread across 19 districts.
As many as 1,204 candidates are in the fray.
The BJP contested on 35 seats while JD(U) contested on 37. The RJD contested on 46 seats whereas, Congress, in 25. Asaduddin’s Owasi’s AIMIM, contested on 16 seats in this round, which may cut into Grand Alliance’s votes.
According to the Election Commission, over 56% voter turnout was recorded till 6 p.m.
On November 3, polling for the second phase of Bihar assembly elections was held. Voting was held at 94 constituencies across 17 districts in the second phase with a voter turnout of 53.51%.
Whereas, On October 28, polling for the first phase of Bihar assembly elections was held at 71 constituencies across 16 districts with a voter turnout of 55.69%.
