Uttar Pradesh: Missing Law Student who accused BJP’s Chinmayanand of harassment, found in Rajasthan

A law student from Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur town who had gone missing last week has been found in Rajasthan, the police said.

A team of Uttar Pradesh Police traced her to Rajasthan this morning. The woman was found along with a friend.

The woman had recently posted a video on social media accusing former Union minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Chinmayanand of sexual harassment.

In a video, she had appealed to PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath for their intervention to ensure justice to her. She also said that Chinmayanand had ruined the lives of several students and she had evidence against him, which was why she was requesting the PM and the CM to help her out.

Soon after this disclosure by posting a video clip on her facebook page, the girl had gone missing.

Chinmayanand meanwhile had alleged that there was a conspiracy to extort Rs. five Crores from him. He had claimed that he had got extortion calls and therefore also filed an FIR against unknown people through his legal advisor.

The Shahjahanpur police had registered an FIR against Chinmayanand. He was booked for kidnapping and criminal intimidation.
