The main accused in the gang-rape and murder case of a 50-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Budaun was arrested on Thursday night.
The accused, identified as Satyanarayan, had been hiding in the village for the last two days. He had a bounty of Rs 50,000 on his head. His two aides were arrested earlier by UP police.
A 50-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped and murdered on Sunday when she had gone to a temple, police said on Tuesday.
The incident was reported from a village under Ughaiti police station area of Budaun district.
As per the post mortem, the woman had received fatal injuries in her private parts. The woman’s ribs were also broken while the lungs were also damaged during the attack.
