Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off Kanpur Metro trail run .Kanpur now became a metro-rich city.
Kanpur Metro is being started in just 2 years with the help of modern technology. The Yogi-led government started the construction work of the Metro rail project on November 15, 2019.
The metro will be run in an area of 9 km. In the first phase of the metro in Kanpur traveling from IIT to Motijheel can be done in this corridor with the priority of Metro.
During the event of the trial run, the Chief Minister Yogi said, “If the previous governments had made even a little effort, the benefit of metro facility would have been available to the people of Kanpur long ago. With the launch of metro in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh will become the first state in the country to provide metro facilities in its five cities”.
