Gangster Munna bajrangi, was shot dead early this morning inside Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat jail.
He was supposed to appear in the court same morning.
Sunil Rathi, who was also in the same jail fired at bajrangi at 6:30 am killing him instantly, said the police. On Sunday morning Munna bajrangi was transferred from Jhansi to Baghpat jail . He was to be produced in court in connection with the murder case of a BJP lawmaker.
According to the opposition parties poor law and order of government is the reason of such incident.
However Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered a judicial inquiry and suspension of the jailor. According to him such an incident occurring inside jail premises is a serious matter. He has asked to conduct an in-depth investigation and strict action for those who are responsible for it.
Seema Singh, wife of gangster Munna bajrangi on June 29 told the media about conspiracy against her husband. “I want to tell UP Chief Minister Adityanath ji that my husband’s life is in danger. A conspiracy is being hatched to kill him in a fake encounter.”
Munna bajrangi was inside the jail since October 2009. He was arrested by special cell of Delhi Police for the murder of BJP law maker Krishanand Rai.
