Attacking Modi government over the lockdown due to COVID-19, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday said that the unplanned lockdown is a product of a person’s ego, which has caused the COVID-19 infection to spread across the country.
Taking to the microblogging site, Rahul in a tweet said, “Coronavirus infection figures will cross 50 lakhs this week with 10 million active cases. The unplanned lockdown is a product of a person’s ego causing the coronavirus to spread across the country.
“Modi government asked people to be self-sufficient ‘atmanirbhar’ i.e. save your own life yourself because PM is busy with peacocks,” Rahul tweeted.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 48,46,427, while the death toll rose to 79,722.
