Union Minister Ramdas Athawale tests positive for COVID-19, hospitalised

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale on Tuesday tested positive for COVID-19.

Informing about his health condition, Athawale in a tweet said, “I have tested #COVID19 positive and as per advise of Doctors I have been hospitalised for few days. Those who have been come in contact with me are advised to get COVID-19 tests done. Take Care & Stay Safe.”

On Monday, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar tested positive for COVID-19, he has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital hospital in Mumbai.

Earlier, former chief minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis was tested positive for coronavirus.

Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state by COVID-19 in the country With 1,34,657 total active cases. While 14,70,660 patients have recovered from the disease in the state, 43,348 have died so far.
