Two terrorists were killed on Friday after an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag.
According to information, security forces launched a joint operation and cordoned the area after inputs about the presence of terrorist in Sirhama area of Anantnag. Contact was established which ensued the encounter in which two terrorists were killed. Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition were also recovered from the site.
Chinar corps-Indian Army in a tweet said, “#Update Op Sirhama, Anantnag. Two terrorists killed. One AK and one INSAS rifle recovered. Joint operation in progress.”
Kashmir zone police in a tweet said, “#SirhamaEncounterUpdate: 02 LeT #terrorists killed. #Incriminating materials including #arms & #ammunition recovered. Search going on. Further details shall follow.”
