Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Friday took a jibe at Narendra Modi led Central government, saying that US President Donald Trump called India’s air ‘filthy’, which is the result of ‘Howdy Modi’ event.
Taking to the microblogging site, Sibal in a tweet said, “Trump: Fruits of Friendship, 1) Questions India’s COVID death toll, 2) Says India sends dirt up into the air, India ‘air is filthy’, 3) Called India ‘tariff king’, The result of ‘Howdy Modi’ “!
Donald Trump in the final debate on Thursday defended his decision to withdraw from the Paris climate accord and described the air in India, Russia and China as ‘filthy’.
Earlier during his first presidential debate, Trump had said that India, China and Russia ‘did not provide a straight count’ on deaths due to COVID-19.
