Three terrorists were killed on Friday in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam.
Police have also recovered arms and ammunition from the site of encounter.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “Another #unidentified #terrorist killed (total 03). #Incriminating materials including #arms & #ammunition recovered. Search going on. Further details shall follow”
According to the police, a search operation was launched by the security forces early in the morning after receiving specific inputs about presence of terrorists in Nagnad area of Kulgam.
The search operation turned into an encounter when the hiding terrorists opened fire on the security forces who retaliated.
Chinar Corps-Indian Army earlier tweeted, “Op Nagnad (#Kulgam). Joint Operation was launched today early morning on @JmuKmrPolice inputs. Cordon was laid & contact established. Firefight ensued. One terrorist killed. One AK recovered. Joint Operation in progress.”
