Terrorists hurl grenade at CRPF team in Srinagar, six injured

At least six security personnel were injured on Saturday after terrorists lobbed a grenade at a CRPF team in Srinagar’s Karan Nagar area, officials said.

According to the sources, the security forces was manning a checkpoint when they were targeted by terrorists.

The grenade explosion caused panic in the area, officials added.

The injured were taken to the hospital for further treatment.

The attack came two months after the central government revoked Article 370, that granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir and split the state into two union territories, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh which will come into existence on October 31.
