Income tax officials are carrying out searches at 100 locations related to mining company VV Minerals and its owner Vaikundarajan. The searches are going on at different location across Tamil Nadu.
As per the reports, the I-T department is conducting raids based on intelligence inputs that the miners have been exporting beach minerals despite a ban.
Officials said, the companies have also been routing money abroad.
Established in 1989, VV Minerals, is one of the largest miner and exporter of minerals in the country.
