Six members of a family were killed after their car fell into Parambikulam -Aliyar-Project canal near Pollachi in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore on early Wednesday.
The accident took place when the family was returning home after visiting the Palani hill shrine.
According to the reports, the car plunged into the canal after the driver lost control of it.
A case has been registered by police and investigation into the matter is underway.
