Suzuki promises to pump more investment into Haryana

Suzuki which has major presence in Haryana would now focus on hybrid and CNG vehicles and if they need to develop EVs and build a new plant in the future, Haryana will certainly be their preferred investment destination.

Suzuki Motor CEO Toshihiro Suzuki met Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi on Thursday promising that Suzuki Motor will invest more in Haryana in future.

He said that his company will fully cooperate in the progress of Haryana along with the progress of India. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav will be organized in Japan for cultural cooperation between Japan and Haryana. He also invited Suzuki CEO Toshihiro Suzuki to come as a special guest in the International Gita Seminar at Tokyo University on June 20.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that Haryana has supported Suzuki Motors in the past. He expressed his hope that Suzuki Motors will invest in Haryana in the future. He added that Suzuki Motors is the only company to have received SGST incentives from the state of Haryana.

CEO Toshihiro Suzuki stated that they will focus on hybrid and CNG vehicles in India. If they need to develop EVs and build a new plant in the future, Haryana will certainly be their preferred investment destination. He urged the Haryana government’s communication with Suzuki to remain consistent and to continue receiving support. He added that when Suzuki was founded in 1982-83, he realized that while India and Japan have different ways of working, they still share many similarities.

Chief Minister announced that the International Gita Jayanti Festival will be held in Japan in June to enhance cultural cooperation between Japan and Haryana. He requested the CEO of Suzuki to collaborate with a reputable Japanese social organization in Japan to ensure widespread participation of Japanese citizens in the International Gita Festival.

Chief Minister also invited CEO Suzuki to attend an International Gita Seminar at Tokyo University on June 20th as a special guest. Suzuki expressed his desire to read the sacred text of the Gita and make every effort to attend the seminar. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also requested the signing of a Sister City Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kurukshetra and Japan. Suzuki assured him of his cooperation.

Suzuki Motor CEO Toshihiro Suzuki stated that the company is taking significant steps in the field of compressed biogas. He plans to invest more in this area. Currently, there are plans to install nine biogas plants, two of which have already been installed. He added that Suzuki will manufacture strong hybrid vehicles at its Kharkhoda plant in Haryana. He requested the Haryana government’s cooperation to ensure that there are no problems in production and sales. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini assured cooperation.

CEO Toshihiro Suzuki stated that the new Industrial Policy 2026 should include provisions for strong hybrid and CNG vehicles. He also stated that we should develop our cities in such a way that they are in good condition and have good facilities in the next 10 or 20 years .
