External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday called an all-party meeting at 5 pm after the Indian Air Force carried out air strikes on terror training camps in Pakistan.
“EAM @SushmaSwaraj has convened an All Party Meeting today, 26 February at 5 PM at JNB.” Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
The meeting will take place hours after Swaraj attended the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence.
In an intelligence-led operation in the early hours of today, India struck the biggest training camp of JeM in Balakot. In this operation, a very large number of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commanders and groups of jihadis who were being trained for fidayeen action were eliminated.
The Indian government is firmly and resolutely committed to taking all necessary measures to fight the menace of terrorism. Therefore this non-military pre-emptive action was specifically targeted at the JeM camp.
