Split in grand alliance as BSP decides to go solo in UP assembly polls

After the big defeat of SP-BSP and RLD alliance in the parliamentary elections, the signs of its breaking have surfaced among it’s partners.

Mayawati was quick to sprang surprise announcing that her party would contest by-polls on all the 11 assembly seats. These seats would fall vacant as 11 members of state assembly have won Lok Sabha polls.

Akhilesh Yadav expressed his ignorance about such a decision from BSP chief Mayawati.
Mayawati asserted that her party was not benefited by alliance as Jats and Yadav did not vote for her party candidates. She said that Muslims and Dalits are solely ensured victory of BSP nominees.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has predicted in his campaign trail that the alliance has developed cracks in their relationships and could not survive after elections are over.
