A SpiceJet technician died on early Wednesday in an unfortunate accident while carrying out regular maintenance work on an aircraft at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, officials said.
The incident took place at around 1.30 am when the technician got stuck in the landing gear door which accidentally got closed while he was carrying out maintenance work on an aircraft.
The victim’s body was removed from the landing gear with the help of the Fire Brigade.
An investigation into the incident is underway, officials said.
