Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday met party leader from Karnataka DK Shivakumar in Tihar jail.
Gandhi was accompanied by Congress general secretary Ambika Soni, sources said.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Shivakumar in a money laundering case on September 3. He is lodged in Tihar jail under judicial custody.
A Court is likely to pronounce order on Shivakumar’s bail plea today.
Shivakumar a seven-time MLA in Karnataka was booked along with others for alleged offences under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Last year, the Income Tax Department had filed a case against Shivakumar and his aides before a special court in Bengaluru on charges of alleged hawala transactions and tax evasion.
Former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy on Monday met Shivakumar in the jail.
