A couple was shot at and injured after their abduction by unidentified gunmen in Arwani area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.
They have been identified as Nusrat and her husband, Mudassir Ahmad Makroo. Significantly, Nusrat is sister of a Lashkar militant Nasir Ahmad Chadroo who has been active for more than a year now.
Both of them were dumped near a graveyard in the village with bullet injuries in their legs. They were found and immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment.
The gunmen had abducted the couple at 4:30 pm last evening, officials said.
“The gunmen called the two of them outside their home in Makroo Mohalla and abducted them in a car,” a police official said.
