Hours ahead of US President Donald Trump’s arrival in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said, “India awaits your arrival. See you very soon in Ahmedabad”.
“India awaits your arrival @POTUS @realDonaldTrump! Your visit is definitely going to further strengthen the friendship between our nations. See you very soon in Ahmedabad,” PM Modi tweeted.
PM Modi’s tweet was in reply to the President Trump’s post as he was flying out of the US yesterday, saying, “Departing for India with Melania!”
On his first visit to India, President Trump will land in Ahmedabad today afternoon.
He will visit Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram and take part in a massive roadshow with PM Modi. The two leaders will address a mega event at cricket stadium where over one lakh people are expected to gather for the ‘Namaste Trump’ cultural extravaganza.
Trump and his team will later leave for Agra to see the iconic Taj Mahal.
