Second India-US 2+2 dialogue to be held in Washington today

The second India-US 2+2 Ministerial dialogue will be held in Washington on December 18, the ministry of external Affairs had announced.

The Second India-U.S. 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue will be held in Washington, D.C. December 18. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar will lead the Indian delegation,” MEA Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar had said.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in New York on Tuesday to attend 2+2 dialogue in Washington.

The dialogue will be held between the Defence and External Affairs Ministers of India and their United States counterparts.

On Tuesday, in New York, the Defence Minister attended a reception for the Indian Community and Friends of India organised by the Consulate General of India at the Asia Society.

Addressing the gathering, Rajnath Singh spoke about the importance and contribution of the Indian American Community and their role in the success of ‘Howdy Modi’ event organised during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Houston earlier this year.

He also spoke on the abrogation of Article 370, recent amendment to Citizenship Act and the importance of friendly relations with neighbours.

Rajnath Singh interacted with the Indian community and answered questions at length, including on India-US relations and the Indian economy.
